Set-up guides, by device.

Pick your platform for a complete walkthrough — installing, signing in, getting around, playback, and activation. OVVOS TV is a player only; you'll sign in with login details from your own Xtream Codes-compatible service.

For Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). Everything the player needs is bundled in the installer — no extra codecs.

1 Install

OVVOS TV is opening in waves — join the waitlist and your invite email includes a download link for the Windows installer.

  1. Open the installer link from your invite and download the .exe.
  2. Open it. If Windows shows a SmartScreen prompt (normal for a new app), click More info → Run anyway.
  3. Follow the installer, then launch OVVOS TV and accept the short usage notice.

2 Sign in to your service

You'll need three things from your IPTV provider — Server URL (e.g. http://example.com:8080), Username and Password.

  1. Type your Server URL, Username and Password on the login screen.
  2. Click Sign in. Your details are stored only on this PC.
If your provider gave you a long get.php or player_api.php link, you only need the base part (host and port) as the Server URL.

3 Getting around (mouse & keyboard)

  • Home — tiles for Live TV, Movies, Series, Favorites and Continue Watching.
  • Live TV — categories, a channel list, and an instant preview with the EPG. Search across all channels.
  • Movies & Series — a streaming-style home; open Categories to pin the rows you want.

4 Playback

Click any poster to open its details, then Play. You get a seek bar, fullscreen, and audio/subtitle selection. Subtitle size and colour are in Settings.

5 Trial & activation

Free for 15 days. After that, buy a licence, choose Enter key, and Activate. To move PC, use Settings → Manage licence → Deactivate this device first.

6 Troubleshooting

Windows blocked the installer (SmartScreen)

Expected for a new app. Click More info → Run anyway.

A channel won't play

OVVOS TV retries automatically. If it persists, it's usually the provider or your network — check that other channels work.

For phones and tablets on Android 9 (Pie) and above, installed from the APK on our site.

1 Install the APK

OVVOS TV is opening in waves — join the waitlist and your invite email includes the APK download link (and Google Play once it's live).

  1. On your phone, open the APK link from your invite to download it.
  2. Open the file. Android will ask to allow installing unknown apps for your browser — turn it on, then tap Install.
  3. Open OVVOS TV.

2 First-run setup

  1. Accept the short usage notice.
  2. Enter your Server URL, then Username, then Password.
  3. OVVOS TV downloads your library, shows “You're all set”, then Continue opens the home.

3 Getting around (touch)

  • Home tiles for Live TV, Movies, Series, Favorites and Continue Watching.
  • The top bar has Search, a Light/Dark toggle, Refresh and a Settings gear. Categories sits first on the tab bar — open it to pin rows.
  • Favorites and Continue Watching are grouped by Movies, Series and Live TV.

4 Playback

Tap to show controls: play/pause, ±15s, seek, and an audio / subtitle menu, plus Back and a Favorite star. Half-watched titles appear under Continue Watching with a progress bar — remove with the ✕.

6 Troubleshooting

“Install blocked / unknown apps”

Allow your browser (or Files app) to install unknown apps when prompted, then tap Install again.

Series episodes don't appear

Open the series and pick a season — the episode list loads beneath the details.

For Android TV and Google TV boxes / sticks (Android 9+), driven entirely by the remote.

1 Install (sideload)

OVVOS TV is opening in waves — join the waitlist and your invite email includes the APK address. TV boxes have no browser, so install via the free Downloader app:

  1. On the TV, install Downloader from the Google Play Store.
  2. In Settings → Apps → Security (or “Install unknown apps”), allow Downloader.
  3. Open Downloader, enter the APK address from your invite, then Go. When it finishes, choose Install and open OVVOS TV.
Prefer USB? Copy the APK to a USB stick, open it with a file-manager app on the TV, and install the same way.

2 First-run setup

The same animated setup appears. Use the remote to move between fields and type with the on-screen keyboard, then Continue into the home.

3 Getting around with the remote

  • D-pad arrows move a clear white highlight between items — top-bar icons, tabs, the Categories panel and every poster light up.
  • OK selects · Back goes up a level.
  • Open a movie or series and focus lands straight on ▶ Play.

4 Playback on the remote

  • Press OK to show the controls; navigate them with the D-pad.
  • Seek, skip ±15s, and switch audio / subtitle tracks from the on-screen controls.
  • Back hides the controls; press it again to exit the player.
  • The screensaver stays off while a video is playing.

6 Troubleshooting

I can't find the app after installing

OVVOS TV appears in your TV's apps row; some launchers hide sideloaded apps under “Apps” or “See all”. You can also reopen it from Downloader's installed list.

Downloader won't install the APK

Make sure you allowed Downloader under “Install unknown apps”, and that you typed the address exactly.
