OVVOS TV

Getting started

OVVOS TV is a media player. It includes no content — you connect it to your own Xtream Codes-compatible service using login details from your provider.

1. Install

  1. Download OVVOS TV for your platform from the Download page.
  2. Run the installer and follow the prompts. On Windows, everything needed is bundled.
  3. Launch OVVOS TV. On first run you'll accept a short usage notice.

2. Sign in to your service

You'll need three things from your IPTV provider:

  • Server URL — e.g. http://example.com:8080
  • Username
  • Password
  1. Enter your Server URL, Username and Password on the login screen.
  2. Select Sign in. Your details are saved securely on this device for next time.
Tip: if a provider gave you a full get.php or player_api.php link, you only need the base part (host and port) for the Server URL.

3. Live TV

Pick Live from the home screen. The screen has three panes:

  • Left — channel categories.
  • Middle — channels in the selected category (use the search box to look across all channels).
  • Right — a live preview of the selected channel, with the program guide (EPG) below. Use the fullscreen button to expand; press Back to return to the surfer.

4. Movies & Series

Open Movies or Series for a Netflix-style home: a rotating spotlight of recent additions, Continue Watching, My Favorites, and your category rows. Hover the left edge to reveal the category menu, where you can pin the categories you want on your home screen. Click any poster to open its details, then play.

5. Favorites & resume

Click the star on any poster or channel to add it to Favorites. Movies and episodes you've started appear under Continue Watching and resume from where you stopped. Use the ✕ on a tile to remove it.

6. Subtitles

During playback, open the subtitle controls to choose a track. In Settings you can set the subtitle size and color; changes apply the next time playback starts.

7. Trial & activation

OVVOS TV is free to use fully for 15 days. After that you'll be asked for a license key.

  1. Buy a license — you'll receive a key like OVVOS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX by email.
  2. In OVVOS TV, choose Enter key (trial banner) or Settings → Manage license.
  3. Paste your key and select Activate. That's it — your license is tied to this device.

8. Move to a new device

A license activates on one device at a time. To switch computers:

  1. On the old device: Settings → Manage license → Deactivate this device.
  2. On the new device: install OVVOS TV and Enter key with the same key.

9. Troubleshooting

A channel won't play / “stream unavailable”

OVVOS TV retries automatically against fresh server nodes. If it persists, the issue is usually with the provider or your network. Check that other channels work, and that any manual DNS isn't blocking your provider's servers.

Posters aren't loading

Poster images come from your provider. A brief network blip can skip a few; scrolling back re-loads them.

“Could not reach the activation server”

Activation needs an internet connection. Check your connection and try again; once activated, OVVOS TV works offline.

Subtitle size/color didn't change

Subtitle appearance applies when playback (re)starts. Stop and restart the stream to see the change.
